Link Building

Links are an important part of every website, from driving traffic to your website to defining your website’s rank. There are many places that links can come from because of the ease of the link building in itself, that anyone can do it. Some places that you can obtain links from are:

1. Blog posts

2. Press releases

3. Text links

4. Links from websites related to your website

Quality of the links, of course, is important. Since they will be driving traffic to your website, having links that are of good quality can help increase your unique visitors. On top of that, search engines are now not counting links that aren’t quality links towards your site’s rank. Quality of course means different things. It varies from natural links which are obtained by using synonyms of your link instead of being repetitive and linking from sites that are like your site, instead of linking from a site that has nothing to do with what your site is about. It’s not about quantity anymore.

Link building is never done. You must always obtain new links. The longer you have one link, the more power it will hold, just like having a domain for a long period of time. Links that are kept for years on old sites are much more useful than links from sites that are new.

It is also important to build deep links, not only links to your homepage. Setting up a blog and posting on other people’s blog will help you get deep links which will link to other pages on your site, increasing the overall quality of your site. The more deep links you have, the better.

Link building is an important aspect, and any website owner must be able to build good, quality links if he or she expects their site to prosper.
